The 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk has transcended its peers to claim the honor Four Wheel Magazines SUV of the Year award.
The competition, available to all-new or significantly updated vehicles, came down to the Grand Cherokee and the Nissan Armada.
After several days of track, off-road and highway testing, the Cherokee prevailed; "Its off-road performance was nearly unstoppable, aided by impressive approach, departure, and breakover angles, plus a formidable first-gear crawl ratio with the transfer case in low range."
The Trailhawk badge comes standard beefed up for off-road use. With its Quadra-Trac II 4WD system, 18-inch off-road aluminum wheels, Goodyear Adventure Tires and available 5.7 liter HEMI V8 ensure superior performance on the road less traveled.
