Nighttime Driving

Driving at night poses a different set of dangers than driving during the day. Visibility is compromised at night, making it critical to stay alert while driving. Dark conditions aren't the best time for us to drive, but sometimes we have no choice. Here are some ways to keep you safe on the road when driving at night.

  • Get regular eye exams. Staying on top of your vision is an important part in helping your visibility when driving at night.
  • If you were glasses you may want to try anti-glare lenses. This will help reduce the glare you get from other drivers' exterior lights.
  • Make sure your headlights car clean and clear. Foggy headlights can greatly decrease your visibility and make it harder for other drivers to see you.
  • Make sure you can see clearly out of your windshield by keeping it clean. Dust and dirt accumulate on your windshield that you may not notice is there until it is dark out.
